As a mom and the curator of my own family's history, I know how much moms love to capture and record the sweetness of childhood and the love of family. For nearly a decade, I've been taking photos of the precious and fleeting moments of life -- like the shot on the homepage where my daughter rescued a Monarch butterfly with a broken wing on our path. These are the moments I strive to photograph and preserve. I want to help you enjoy these treasures forever.
I shoot on-location, natural light photography. Nature is my studio. My style is timeless and contemporary. I like the real thing. Spontaneous and natural. Elegant and casual. Energetic and fun. My sessions are at least one hour long, allowing time for parents to relax and for kids to be kids.
My background is in journalism, so I look for the story -- how a child moves, who they are, and how they interact in their world. I also look for the most gorgeous natural light I can find. This photojournalistic style not only creates beautiful portraiture, but also translates well into a "Memory Book," chronicling a walk in the park, a beachcombing adventure, or a simple frolic in the backyard amidst fallen leaves ...
